First Up Gazebos - How Are They Used?
One of the easier and simpler types of gazebos to put up is the ones known as First Up Gazebos. So what are
they, and are they worth having?
First Up Gazebos are basically a plastic or polyester covering held up on metal poles and a frame. They give you
a very basic and simple type of roof to shelter you from the rain and sun.
These types of gazebos are great for backyard bar-b-ques and get togethers so people can sit in the backyard,
but stay out of the hot sun.
The other common use for a First Up Gazebo is at a sporting event. You’ll see tailgaters using this type of
structure all the time.
The advantages with these are obvious.
- They are cheap and easy to use. You can even make one yourself with materials you already have.
- They are lightweight and easy to handle. It’s been said, and shown, that kids can even put these gazebos up
in no time, and with very little effort.
The downside to First Up Gazebos are also fairly obvious as well. They have a very short life span and little
durability.
They will not work well in windy conditions and can be difficult to keep standing. You’ll need to tie them down
for stability or have a missile on your hands!
With that said, First Up Gazebos are very useful on these occasions when you need something for a family picnic
or gathering and you don’t want to spend a lot of extra money on a permanent gazebo.
